I got a call on Tuesday and there is a spot for Lena to go to Brentwood Christian School in the fall! I'm so excited, because that means that it's easier for her to continue to go there when she goes to Kindergarten. Anyways, I just thought I would share my excitement.

Browns on You Tube
Grandma and Grandpa are considering applying for a reality show where grandparents take their grandkids on an Alaskan Cruise. This is their 2min. audition video which is also on You Tube in better quality. So our family has now officially been broadcasted, which could be the first step in to reality stardom...

Wall Family Mystery Trip
We made it safely to our destination. Here's a clue as to where we are:
1. This sign is literally right outside our bedroom window.
I feel a little bit like Kramer in the episode where a new "Kenny Rogers" Chicken has opened up across the street and he can't sleep due to the bright, red glow of the light. This sign is seriously bright--I may come back with one killer tan!!
Lord willing, our kids will sleep well tonight--that really would be miraculous. There's a lot of traffic outside our window so who knows what will happen!
Here the kids are looking outside the window at the view of the river below. They can't wait to take the boat tour and get to Sea World tomorrow. It should be a lot of fun. I can't wait to hear Elijah's thoughts after we meet Shamu!!
By the way Cary, if you can get here for Tuesday's Lakers/Spurs game, Alex & I would love to meet you there!! Ha, ha!
Much love to you guys! bw

Katy's Graduation
Katy was very excited to graduate from Kindergarten at Midland Christian last Thursday night! I love this picture of Trisha & Katy after the ceremony--we're so proud of you Katy! Tod, we sure missed our "normal" speaker at graduation. I didn't even try to talk about David & Goliath--but hope to hear that lesson again in the future.
The 2nd picture is of Katy speaking her lines--she really seems to enjoy being in front of people!
The last picture is of Elijah & Grandpa before the grad ceremony. Thanks for coming & for the ice cream party afterwards--we absolutely loved it!!

Storm Baseball
It's been a fantastic baseball season.
Alex has been playing catcher and really been making big strides in catching the ball, throwing and hitting like a monster. We entered the league tournament in 2nd place (6-1-1) and won tonight--which puts in the league championship next week (woo-hoo!).
Tonight was great, but I've got to tell you about the game last week. We were playing a make-up game to determine if we would enter the tournament as the 1st place team. In a see-saw game that saw us get way behind & then catch up again, we entered the last inning down by two runs. W scored a run but they also got 2 of our batters out. When Alex stepped up to the plate, we had a runner on 3rd base. With two outs and two strikes, Alex swung and made contact with the 41 mph fastball. He hit a pop fly between short & 3rd base--and they missed the ball. The runner scored and we ended up tying the game on Alex's clutch hit! It was a great night!

Mom's the best
I know all you guys are in Midland giving hugs and gifts to Mom today, but since I'm here in Fort Worth I decided to blog just a bit about how great Mom is.
Mom,
I am really, really thankful for you. As I cleaned up the bottle of Modge Podge off the carpet, then cleaned the blue marker off the table and out of Isaac's mouth today I was reminded of the price you paid to raise 6 kids. As I look around my house which was clean this morning and now is covered with construction paper, dirty dishes, and laundry (not to mention the glue that didn't come out of the carpet) I just sigh, and say, "My mom was a good woman." After pushing on swings and catching on slides and using more that the typical number of wipies this weekend (due to Isaac's excessive grape intake) I take this few moments of consciousness before sleep to thank you for all that you did to raise me.
I didn't notice at the time, but you worked hard. In case I never told you before, I'm sorry for that day I locked myself in the bathroom all day and made Alan feed me slices of cheese and baloney under the door. I'm sorry for the time I ran away on my tricycle. I'm sorry for not cleaning up my room when you told me to. I'm sorry for the time my friends and I stayed up all night at my slumber party and ran into the street with our underwear on our heads. (I think this may be the first time you heard about that one :)) I'm sorry for all those times I bleached or shrunk your clothes when I did the laundry and for all those white shirts I turned pink because I didn't sort it very well.
Whatever family is doing to honor you today, I just want to say that you deserve it. You have been a wonderful mother to us all, and I continue to be thankful for your selfless love and care for your children and grandchildren. I bless you. May you keep giving and receiving the kindness of Jesus.
Love,
Randy
