On another note...
Just a little report on our fish... They've been thriving in their home, much to the delight of our kids, until...
while Alex and Katy were at school today several children came over for lunch with their moms. I didn't pay much attention to them since my own weren't here. While the adults were enjoying a lovely visit, one of Katy's little friends fed the fish--all the fish food in the jar. We've done everything we can. Thankfully, one of the moms is an expert in fish care. She had an emergency vehicle bring the needed ciphen to suction out the tank. Now only time will tell. We're told the environment may very well become toxic enough to kill them, but we're hopeful. Alex and Katy are prepared for the worst. We even went and visited all of Stripe, Orange and Snowfish's cousins tonight, just to honor them and prepare them for an uncertain future for their family members.
Unfortunately, while her mom was cleaning the tank, 2-year old Evyn discovered the bunk beds. She ended up at the hospital for x-rays, but it was just a sprain.
Meanwhile, back at the office, Ben's computer responded very poorly this morning to a big gulp of Diet Coke. This after his Palm Pilot suffered an almost fatal blow last week but seems to be on the road to recovery. Ben's calling it Black Tuesday. We hope the white snow and the joy of celebrating Grandma and Allison has redeemed the day!
