Children

I went to a children's pastor's conference last week that was "All About Kids"--literally. I was of course reminded of the importance of reaching children's hearts. The statistic I've heard dozens of times now is that 85% of people who come to faith in Jesus do so before they are 12 years old. One of the things I got from the conference was tremendous encouragement that being involved with ministry to children is absolutely the right place for me to be.

Today I smiled when I considered all the wonderful people in my life who take seriously the instruction of Jesus to "let the little children come..."
First there's Mom, who made it her life's mission to raise her children right back to heaven and now volunteers many, many hours to serve the children at Midland Christian
Then Lee Ann, who spends her days ministering to children with various ailments by nurturing them, listening to them and loving on them (and is a GREAT mom)
And Jill, who gives her time to causes that bless children in so many ways (and is a GREAT mom)
And Holly, who is at MCS almost as much as her kids! (and is a GREAT mom)
And Anda, shares the love of Jesus with any number of children her husband brings home (and is a GREAT mom)
And April, who ministers to the littlest ones, not to mention that she's a great mom!

And that's just the girls! I'm proud of you all. I pray that God will raise up from among us a next generation of moms (and dads) and leaders with Kingdom vision to keep bringing those little children to Jesus!

I am more convinced than ever that ministry to children is straight from the heart of Jesus. I am so proud of you moms--all of you--who are doing God's work every day without doubt.!!!
