A Great Day
Today was precious. Watching Emily, Ashley, and Annie be born again in Christ was an awesome way to start the year.
Holly, we enjoyed ALL of your family at lunch- what a great, fun crew!
Trisha, thanks so much for being here this morning. "Yes, Lord," is a theme I definitely want to have, too, this year. I'm also feeling the need for God to "ground" my family - for His spirit to keep us real, keep us humble, and keep us glued together and glued to Him during this next phase in our lives.
April, my kids loved their confetti eggs on New Year's Eve - thanks!
We had a great holiday with all of you - hope your New Year's holiday was great!

I just have to add that Cary and Alan were so eloquent in their words. I was very touched by your sincerity and the way the girls responded to you both.
I will remember for a long time the look on Ashley's face as Cary spoke to her in front of hundreds of people. (She was the shortest and had to really look up to see her daddy.) She trusts you completely, brother. She has a relationship with Jesus because you and Jill have shared yours with her. The same is true for Emily and for Annie. They are blessed little girls to have the deep faith of their mothers and fathers, and their grandmothers and grandfathers, passed down to them.
It was so sweet to sit among them all as the girls had their first communion, wet hair, new Bibles open, surrounded by cousins and grandparents. What a day to treasure!
