the family cheer!

Okay - here's the family cheer. Be forewarned: the whole deal is cheesy, but my kids know this stuff!

ALL OF US (while holding hands and jumping around): Who are, who are, who are we? We are, we are, we are the...the Fort Worth Browns, the Fort Worth Browns, the Fort Worth Browns!

Randy: What do we do?
ALL: Love Jesus!

Randy: What do we do?
ALL: Put others first!

Randy: What do we do?
ALL: Live by faith!

Randy: What do we do?
ALL: Be thankful and joyful!

Randy: What do we do?
ALL: Do our best!

(Gather up in a circle with hands in the middle) ALL: GO BROWNS!

(And Moriah always adds her own little "Good job!")

I'm not quite sure how the cheer thing got started - maybe McKenna and RB? Anyway - it's been fun and keeps our family values before us. Moriah is even starting to say them!

Still no baby news. Feeling great, actually. We'll see what happens Monday - looks like we'll probably have a Thanksgiving baby!

Love y'all,
Anda

So cute. Do you think I could get Bailey and Hutton to do it!?! Maybe we should have started a little earlier:)

Anda, It may seem cheesy, but the values are absolutely foundational. If we could all remember those things everyday, it would be phenomenal. What a great way to get your kids involved! If one of them turns out to be a preacher, I'm sure they will be telling about it in a sermon someday. (Veggie Tales could classify as cheesy too, but I haven't heard anyone complaining. :)) Good job!!!

And what a Thanksgiving blessing he or she will be!! We're still in preparation for our blessing, getting the car ready and such. I wish I had one or more of you here to check my installation of the car seat. They'll do our first check for effacement (sp?) and dilation next Wednesday.

I love it! Y'all are great parents! The cheer is great on many levels! And if you sit and watch a high school football game, really, what is the purpose of spelling out S-C-O-R-E anyway? 2 bits, 4 bits, 6 bits, a dollar? It's all cheesy--and memorable and very fun! Mom's right--they will be telling about that cheer someday. Probably all of them, and certainly in the context of "stuff our parents got right."

We may copy it a little--so much of what we've discussed as we work on our family's values is so very similar! Would that bother you? (Just have to ask...)

Can't wait for baby to get here!!!
