Boys acting like men

I'm sure most of y'all heard what Colt McKoy had to say after last night's game. I saw this today and thought it worth letting our kids see. Jordan Shipley talking to Colt's replacement, Garrett Gilbert:

“I was telling Garrett that he was the man out there and that we believed in him and that we were going to give him a verse,” Shipley said. “And I think he came out and played as well as you could expect anyone to play in that situation.

“I gave him second Chronicles 20 verse 15. It says, ‘Don’t be afraid or dismayed because of the great multitudes for the battle is not yours, it’s God’s.’”

The real battle (not the one involving scoreboards) is the Lord's, and I'm thankful those young men are letting God lead them. And thankful for my kids to get to hear about these guys leading so well. What great role models.

Colt got engaged to his girlfriend this week. He proposed at the stadium with "Will you marry me" on the big screen and him on one knee. James saw him at church sunday, but we don't know how his arm is.
