WHITE WATER RAFTING

We drove 1 1/2 hours from Anchorage in pouring rain to go white water rafting. I have no pictures of the actual event because there was no way to keep my camera dry. I prayed all the way for God to bring sunshine even though the driver told us that it was not going to clear up--predictions of 9 days straight of rain. Grandma and Grandpa were secretly hoping for cancellation, but of course the rafting company saw no reason to cancel when getting wet was the whole point of the adventure. Hmm. Soo, I just stayed in the back seat praying for sunshine or at least dry. Of course, God came through. Our guide said we had brought beautiful sunshine that just seemed to be following us down the river. Hmm. It was quite an adventure, but everyone had great fun. Everyone stayed in the raft. YEA!!! The biggest complaint was cold hands and feet since we had glacier water dumped all over us for the entire trip. It was definitely the most challenging adventure of the trip for non-swimming Grandma. In this picture we are donning our "dry suits" which was an adventure in itself.
