The Thrill of Victory...
We were in Ft. Stockton today for Mitch's track tournament. This morning, he was first in his heat for the JV 110m hurdles, and third overall to qualify for the finals. This afternoon, he won first in the finals! In the last few pics, Mitch is running next to the guy from Monahans who had won first in the morning qualifier. You can see him stumbling a little at the end, and Mitch pushed through to victory - it was very close!
Just had to brag - we had a fun day!

Good job Mitch! You are the first one that I can think of in the big Brown family to make hurdles your thing and you have done it well. It is fun to see you excel in what you like to do. We are blessed to share in your life. I am proud of you! Grandpa.
Great job Mitch. Can't wait to see you run! Jill the pictures are awesome.
woo-hoo! These pics are great, Jill! My mouth dropped open when I saw him and I flashed back to that sweet little 2-year-old face in the flowers in San Antonio ages ago when he visited his VERY unseasoned aunt! He looks so OLD! Miss all of you!
Great job, Mitch! I love these pictures of you! What a stud!
