All morning I prayed for the fog to lift so we could see Corcovado--the famous Christ statue overlooking the city of Rio. It lifted just as we were arriving. It is an amazing symbol of the Christian roots of this country. I kept thinking how politically incorrect this would be in the U.S. right now.
