Baseball -- The Sport of America

Just a quick story about my little man AJ, who loves baseball. We were heading to see a Midland Christian baseball game a few days ago and AJ turned to Holly and said "Mom, did you know that Baseball is the sport of America?" He said it so matter of factly that Holly couldn't help but smile. She asked where he learned that and he told her his teacher told him. I'm not sure what the context was, but somehow AJ came away convinced that baseball is the greatest sport in America. While he isn't on an organized team this spring, he has watched his cousins Mitch and Reagan play several games, and he seems to think about playing baseball a lot. We have been playing regularly at the park, and even had some great wiffle ball games at the lake with Cary's family. AJ wants to make sure that we schedule a big family game at the lake over Memorial Day.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

A.J. is a serious, sport guy - I love it. Your "one and only" boy got enough sport genes in him to make up for a whole team!

Alex would wholeheartedly agree--he is loving baseball! By the way, he sure did love having Grandma, Grandpa, Reagan and Connor there. He said that was "really cool." I asked him which position he enjoyed most last night and he said, "Pitcher--the harder, the funner!" In t-ball, the pitcher fields just about every play. It sure is fun to watch the little guys.
